Principal's Weekly Message

Welcome to this week's edition of the Boerne Middle School North Newsletter!

We had a great week at North with some much needed rain. Thanks to our students and staff for for getting things done regardless of some minor leaks and puddles.

Football had success vs South on Tuesday to kickoff the week. Unfortunately, volleyball was cancelled due to the rain but we wish our girls much success as the head to the district tournaments this weekend. 8th is at Fred and 7th will be at Creekview HS/Loma Alta. Lastly, Cross Country completed a great season last weekend. Read details below in our athletics section.

Next week is the final week of Quarter 1. Let's work hard and finish strong so we can all enjoy our much needed Fall Break.

Have a great weekend and Go Greyhounds!

With gratitude,
Garrett Carr

Oct. 13- Parent Teacher Conferences

With the end of the grading period coming up soon, we welcome parents and guardians to schedule a conference with their child’s teachers on Tuesday, October 13th. Conferences are a great way to celebrate student progress, address questions, and work together to support continued growth. If you would like to set up a conference either in person or over the phone with a teacher, please reach out to them directly by phone or email. As always, Skyward is another great communication tool to continue the home/school communication. Please continue to check your child’s Skyward grades and attendance weekly. Our students know how to do this as well, but it is another great communication tool for student and parent talks as well. We value your partnership and look forward to connecting with you.

Happy School Custodians Day!

We celebrated our custodians with their favorite  lunch/dinner and some snacks to keep them moving. Thank you to our Life Skills Crew for their time and generosity towards our custodial crew!

📖 Library News! 📚

P-Tech Cybersecurity

This week in the library...

The library is open each morning starting at 8:00 AM. It closes at 4:15 PM.

  • Eighth grade CCR classes visited the library to learn about the P-TECH Cyber Security program.  Mr. Hiett and students from his program came in and led the students through interactive activities involving cyber security basics while explaining the ins and outs of the program.
  • Seventh grade science classes came in for a hospital ER simulation lab where students had to learn about their "patient's" diagnoses and had to determine what disease or illness the patient had and what body systems were affected.
  • Sixth grade students visited on Friday for book renewals and checkouts.

If you or your  student are having technology challenges, please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Griffin for help! Students can stop by the library at any time throughout the day, and parents can email Mrs. Griffin: erin.griffin@boerneisd.net.

Please visit with your student about what they are reading in order continue to nurture their love of reading!

  • If you still have BMSN books out, or a BISD elementary library book out, your student will not be able to check out a book. You can return all BISD library book to North.
  • Payments for lost books must be sent to the originating campus. For example, if your student lost a book from FES, you must pay the FES campus for the book.
  • If you need to pay for a lost or damaged BMSN library book, you can pay online here.
