New Student Groups

Our counseling team is excited to welcome students who are new to our campus! New students will be invited to participate in three brief group sessions designed to help them feel connected and comfortable in their new school community. Our first two sessions will include fun get-to-know-you activities and an opportunity for students to ask questions and share how their transition is going. We’ll wrap up with our last session—a casual Cookie Social. We look forward to helping our newest students feel at home!

Nurse Kelley's Corner

As we get further into the school year, we tend to see more sore throats, coughs, and other illnesses making their way through our campuses. While many sore throats are caused by viruses, strep throat can look a little different and may require a visit to a healthcare provider for testing and treatment. Knowing what symptoms to watch for, when a student should stay home, and when to seek medical care can help us keep our students feeling their best and reduce the spread of illness at school. Check out the quick Sore Throat & Strep Throat Guide below.

📖 Library News! 📚

Esports Info & Application

This week in the library...

  • The mornings continue to be packed with students using computers, completing homework and reading!

  • Spanish 3 students visited the library for a quick research lesson going over the databases provided by the library. Students learned how to navigate the sites, search using Boolean terms, and how to cite each resource and article.

  • Eighth grade RLA students visited the library for new books and library programs reminders and 6th grade RLA students participated in a book tasting sampling different genres in the library.

If you have a student interested in a Creative Writing Club or Chess Club, please have them come by the library to sign up and pick up a permission form.

Please visit with your student about what they are reading and continue to nurture their love of reading for fun!

  • If you still have BMSN books out, or a BISD elementary library book out, your student will not be able to check out a book. You can return all BISD library book to North.
  • Payments for lost books must be sent to the originating campus. For example, if your student lost a book from FES, you must pay the FES campus for the book.
  • If you need to pay for a lost or damaged BMSN library book, you can pay online here.
